Today, Homenetmen is a worldwide organization with over ninety chapters and over 25,000 members on five continents. The Homenetmen Motto “Elevate Your-self and others With You,” empowers every member to succeed and to facilitate the success of others. Homenetmen Massis Chapter, being part of this world-wide organization, ensures that the philosophy and spirit of its founders, “A healthy mind in a healthy body” is the blue print for instilling moral values, responsibility, and leadership, in every Homenetmen Massis member.

Homenetmen Massis Chapter has been the backbone of the San Fernando Valley youth and committed to their success since its inception in 1979. Not only does it provide the Armenian American youth with moral, physical and social education, in addition, it exposes the youth to the wealth of the Armenian culture and heritage and prepares them to be outstanding model Citizens.

As a result of the growth of the Armenian community in the San Fernando Valley due to immigration, Homenetmen Massis Chapter has taken the initiative to meet the fundamental needs of our youth by providing a safe and nurturing environment to assimilate them into our society. By working hand in hand with our local Public Schools, Armenian Schools and our Sister Organizations, we are committed to the success and well being of our youth. Homenetmen Massis chapter has been there to provide athletic, scouting, cultural, educational and community-volunteer programs to its youth. They are taught citizenship, volunteerism, community and cultural values, and teamwork, through sports or educational seminars in a supervised family oriented environment.

Although Homenetmen has undertaken the responsibility to meet the ever-changing needs of our youth with the different programs offered, none of these activities can be achieved without the support and commitment from the parents and community. We thank all who believe in the spirit and mission of this noble organization, but most importantly we urge all of the parents and youth to come aboard and join one of our committees, to bring their children and become a member of the Massis Family. “Responsibility does not only lie with the leaders elected to do a particular job, it lies with each of us individually,” and together the possibilities are endless.
